How to Coupe with Death?

How to coupe with death? Well, there's plenty of ways to deal with it. For instance, Tim O'Brien. When Tim was about 9 years old he had a crush on Linda, they were in the same grade. I guess he was head over heals over her, but then agian it was only a 9 year old crush. But this crush was something else. Anyway, Linda had a brain tumor, really bad. She had died and it broke Tims heart. After her death, Tim would dream of her to bring her back to life. That's how he couped with her death and that's how he started writing war books. Memories of those who died and bringing them back to life in his writings. And yet after 40 some odd years he still dreams of her, he still loved her. I guess that's a way of getting over a death of a love one, just dream of them and they'll come back to life in your memory. What do you think? How do or would coupe with losing a close personal friend?

I really wondered what had happen to Mary Anne Bell after Rat Kiley told us the story. She seem ok until she went crazy and ran away, no where to be found. It sounded a little fishy to me. Mary Anne was a sweat gal, blonde hair. Who would ever want their girl to come over to this shit hole Nam? Specially the girl that you want to marry and live a life with. Keep her home. Well, Mark Fossie your shit outta luck cuz your girl has gone cuckoo and is running through the jungle killing gooks while wearing a necklace of tounges around her neck. She's a real keeper.

The Things They Carried

The things that soliders carried were not only the objects such as a M-16 or PRC-25 radio that weight 26 pounds. It wasn't just the physical appareance it was the emotions that they all carried. Everyone had them, even the toughest and baddest of us all. We all had something that nobody knows. It's like a big heavy weight that we have to carry until we fall to the ground dead and bury. I guess the saying "take it to the grave" is true.
